Genre: Romance, New Adult
At twenty-two years old, Sydney is enjoying a great life: She’s in college, working a steady job, in love with her wonderful boyfriend, Hunter, and rooming with her best friend, Tori. But everything changes when she discovers that Hunter is cheating on her—and she’s forced to decide what her next move should be.
Soon, Sydney finds herself captivated by her mysterious and attractive neighbor, Ridge. She can’t take her eyes off him or stop listening to the passionate way he plays his guitar every evening out on his balcony. And there’s something about Sydney that Ridge can’t ignore, either. They soon find themselves needing each other in more ways than one.
A passionate tale of friendship, betrayal, and romance, Maybe Someday will immerse readers in Sydney’s tumultuous world from the very first page.
Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover is quite the angsty read. After breaking up with her cheating boyfriend, Sydney finds herself attracted to Ridge, the guitar player whose music she loves. The problem is that Ridge has a girlfriend who he loves very much.
I can’t say much without giving the story away. This is the book you read when you trust Colleen Hoover. The story addresses so many things. Like how it is possible to fall in love with two different people, and how some actions have certain consequences. It’s very emotional, high drama, with some light humor sprinkled on top. I can see that it could make some other people cry, but not me. Angst junkies will love this book, plus it’s also one of the Top Romances of 2014.
